My name is Melissa A. Whitling and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 25 years of clinical experience in the area of counseling individuals, couples and families.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Clarion University of PA.  I also have earned a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling from Slippery Rock University of PA.

I have spent my career treating individuals and families in Venango and Clarion counties.  I have worked in community mental health settings to include:  Child & Adolescent Mental Health Therapist, Family-Based Mental Health Therapist, Mobile Therapist/Behavioral Specialist Consultant, Evaluator & Treatment Specialist of convicted sexual offenders and victims of sexual offenses, and finally working in private practice settings since 2007.

Post graduate work has included specialized training in the areas of Trauma Informed Care and a two-year Play Therapy Program.  At present, I am a Nationally Certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist.

In addition to walking with families through their  healing journeys, I am a Licensed Local Pastor through the Western Pennsylvania United Methodist Church.
